Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany was pleased with his team’s performance after they beat Boca Juniors 2-1 in the FIFA Club World Cup Group C group stage.

The Bavarians took the lead in the first half through Harry Kane, but were equalised by Miguel Montal midway through the second half. However, Michael Olise scored the winner six minutes from time to make it two straight wins and become the first team to reach the knockout stages.

Asked to sum up the overall picture of สนใจสมัคร? คลิกที่นี่เพื่อเริ่มต้น the match, Kompany said: “It’s very pleasing. We saw how difficult it is for European teams to play against South American teams. I think we did a great job, controlled the emotions of the game. We didn’t want to concede a goal, but we were calm and finished the game very well.”

“It was an impressive performance. To go deeper, I thought we should have scored two or three more goals, which we didn’t do. I wouldn’t say we finished the game nervously, but we gave them a chance to get back into the game. But it’s the Club World Cup, so it’s a great win.”

“I think in the first half we played the way we wanted to play and in the second half. They were a team with heart and determination, they came back into the game. We made some mistakes, not that we missed chances, but the momentum changed very quickly. The forwards had one chance, scored, did well, but then we came back and played, we were more dangerous.”

“I’m happy because part of the emotion in these games in this tournament is to be calm and I felt it was a German performance in that sense.”
