Liverpool boss Arne Slots praised his team’s performance in the second half. As they turned things around and got back into the game in a 2-2 draw at Arsenal.
“With two times we were behind it was nice to get back into the game. Especially with less than a day to recover. The second half was stronger than the first, so I was pleased. You come here to win, but maybe a draw is a result we can take with us. Especially after a first half like that.”UFABET
“You know coming here, they have a lot of quality players. You can have difficult moments in the game. I’m happy with the goal from a set-piece. We needed that because in open play we didn’t dominate the game. They deserved to be 2-1 up in the first half but the way we showed up in the second half was very impressive.”
On Liverpool’s second goal: “Two minutes before the second goal. Trent (Alexander-Arnold) was close to the 18-yard box and he got a little bit of criticism for his passing. The good thing about Trent is he tried again and it led to a great team goal. Darwin (Nunez) hasn’t played a lot but now he has to play every game because we need him to score goals. He’s still going strong.”
“In the first 10-15 minutes after the break, we played better than the first half. But putting three quality players on the pitch, they had a lot of energy and that helped us almost get three points.” Slots
