Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has admitted his side deserved to win after being better in parts of the game. That ended in a 2-2 draw at Liverpool.
“Very proud of the team, the courage, the quality, the control of the game the way we wanted to play. Especially in the first half. We should have scored more in the first half but they came back in the second half and we didn’t have the courage.”UFABET
“We deserved to win the game, we were the better team. Lessons learned from both goals. The second one was the moment of transition from defence to attack. Where we had to finish in the final third. You can’t give that away.”
“We were clear on what we had to do and the execution. Determination and aggression, both with and without the ball, was very good. There were moments when we should have put the ball in the goal.”
“In the first period we had to be more courageous in our play. We created big chances.”
“It’s very disappointing not to win because, given the chances. We should have won the game.”
“The team played very well. We controlled the game and had great determination. We attacked well and played in the right areas to create important chances. And We left too much space on the counter-attack for the second goal. Against this team you can’t do that if you want to win.”
“It’s like this now. The defense is completely different to what we’re used to. We should have won this game.” Arteta
